Maths Graduate Scheme

The Government has put together some attractive bursary packages to attract able and committed graduates. The highest value bursaries are in maths, with a trainee maths teacher with a first class honours degree in maths qualifying for a bursary of £20,000. There is also a Golden Hello scheme, launched, worth £7,500 (£10,000 for those who go on to train in special educational needs) aimed at retaining existing teachers of maths in the second year of teaching. Description: The post holder will be required to recruit, induct, train, review, assess, monitor and track work based and work related candidates working in the relevant field primarily but not exclusively on employers’ premises. The post also involves contributing to the marketing, development delivery, assessment and evaluation of programmes to meet market needs and contractual targets and performance criteria. The post holder will maintain a minimum student case load, in line with HCUK policy and to be agreed with the line manager based on the particular sector subject area(s), the type of employment placement and geographical spread of students. Director of Human Resources and Organisational Development

Description: The Hull College Group is seeking to recruit a talented and experienced Director to lead our Human Resources and Organisational Development functions. The Hull College Group is a large general further education college with its primary operation based in Hull City centre.  The Group also operates in Goole and in Harrogate, along with our recently launched HCUK Training arm which provides education and training services to business nationally. We have circa 1500 employees and provide education and training to over 30,000 people across the country. We’re looking for an experienced HR generalist who can join our Group management team providing leadership on our HR and Organisational Development agendas.  Along with a focus on the full range of HR functions including; performance and reward, change management, employee and industrial relations; we also have a well-developed organisational development strategy.  This strategy provides a framework for developing our approaches to employee performance management, talent development and succession planning along with enhancing the employee experience through a meaningful framework of employee engagement which has the personal commitment of the Chief Executive. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive this is a key Group leadership role with a focus on driving performance, enhancing the employee experience and delivering results. This is a full time role.
