Students have the opportunity to appeal against an assessment decision of a Board of Examiners or Examinations Committee.
All appeals must be submitted to the HE Registrar using the appropriate form which is available from the HE Registry (Queen’s Gardens). The specific grounds for the appeal are determined by the regulations of the relevant awarding body. If you are thinking of appealing you should consult the regulations beforehand. You may also wish to discuss this with the Students’ Union or your Tutor. In making an appeal, you need to set out your reasons clearly and comprehensively and provide any accompanying evidence.
Please note you cannot appeal against the academic judgement of the examiners. If you have any queries about the appeals process you should contact the HE Registry in the first instance.
