Age restrictions apply to apprentices wishing to drive Large Goods Vehicles (LGV's). Apprentices MUST hold a Full Category B (Car) Licence before they commence this pathway, as without it they will not be able to undertake LGV training. The minimum age Apprentices will need to be in order to drive a Large Goods Vehicle is 18. It may be that the candidate may have commenced work in a logistics company before the age of 18 and have already worked in one or more of the following logistics environments - warehousing and storage, carry and deliver goods or traffic office. The candidate's job role and range of activities will need to meet the qualification requirements.
This depends on individual circumstances and experience, but most apprentices will complete the framework within 12 months
