Advanced Apprenticeship in Creative and Digital Media

Description

A level 3 Apprenticeship is more suited to those with prior work experience looking for a step up the career ladder. Level 3 Apprentices may also enter the workforce at this level or be employed in an existing job.
The aim of the qualification is to develop digitally aware and work-ready employees who are multi-skilled and can work cross-platform. This apprenticeship framework has been developed by creative industries and presents exciting career opportunities for new entrants. Employers look for work-ready individuals who have good literacy and numeracy, strong IT skills and a good understanding of what it takes to work their way up in creative media – including the capacity to work hard, efficiently and in teams.
Apprentices must complete a common competence qualification and a knowledge qualification both awarded by Edexcel.

Edexcel Level 3 Diploma in Creative and Digital Media
Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Creative and Digital Media

The knowledge qualification offers complementary units, which can be tailored flexibly.
The framework covers new entrant roles in the following industries:

Apprentices will receive additional support and guidance, on and off the job, to enhance their learning and development.

Progression

This Advanced Apprenticeship in Creative and Digital Media provides knowledge and experience to support progression to a variety of higher level qualifications e.g. Foundation Degree and Degree level awards.
