A2 sociolgy can be studied as part of the full-time A-level programme, in which students are expected to study 3 subjects.
Sociology is the study of society. More specifically it is about the study of individuals and how they shape and are shaped by society.
The course for the A2 include topics from the following:
Beliefs in Society
Global Development
Mass Media
Power and Politics
Crime and Deviance or Stratification and
Differentiation
Theory and Methods
Please note that the examinations take place in January or June. Therefore please do not book holidays.
Please note that 4 AS levels must be studied in Year 1 and 3 of those for are to be continued into Year 2.
16-18 years only are able to apply and only the full time option is available.
Careers in Social Work, Nursing, Teaching. Any degree course requiring analytical and evaluative skills.
