Description

A2 candidates will build on their AS work to look more fully at the contexts of media production and consumption - why as well as how texts are created as they are. As well as building on the concepts studied in AS, candidates will look at Media Debates i.e. Representation, Media effects, Reality TV, Media Technology and the digital revolution, as well as Media Theories.
Candidates will be required to study two pre-set media topics on at least one of the three media studies platforms. Coursework will involve producing a media product linked to their research for an individual critical investigation.

Please note that 4 AS levels must be studied in Year 1 and 3 of those for are to be continued into Year 2.

16-18 years only are able to apply and only the full time option is available.
