This subject is suitable for anyone who wants to learn more about Law, whether as a personal interest to help you with your career or job, or as a preparation for studies in Higher Education. For A2 study AS level Law is required.

A2 law can be studied as part of the full-time A2 programme, in which students are expected to study 3 A2 subjects.
This course is a natural progression for anyone who has studied AS Law and is offered as a one year course.
For A2 modules you will examine crimes such as murder, manslaughter, grievous bodily harm, and offences against property and apply your knowledge to specific problems. A synoptic element also involves study of wider issues such as law and morality and justice.
Please note that 4 AS levels must be studied in Year 1 and 3 of those for are to be continued into Year 2.
16-18 years only are able to apply and only the full time option is available.
Further study on higher level courses, including Higher Nationals and Degrees.
Textbooks will be recommended at the start of the course.
