THe Details

YEAR 1: Within the first year you will work as a live production operative working on live shows as part of the creative team to bring these shows to life. You will design, build and paint large scale sets, as well as have the opportunity to operate either lighting and sound for a performance. The 2nd Year students will create your management team and you will work closely alongside them. Working closely with the performers throughout, working on a production at the college which is an unforgettable experience.

YEAR 2: In the second year you will study design and event management skills on live performances. You will be in charge of the 1st Year students, creating a production team across both years, you will gain incredible managerial and teamwork skills. You will be one of the lead designers for the end of year production as well as have the opportunity to be Head of Lighting or Sound. By the end of the second year you will be confident in all skills required within live events and industry ready.

Being a part of this course will give you hands-on experience of working in an adaptive theatre, offering a hand on a range of performances and become industry ready within two years. You also gain a knowledge in maintaining equipment, wiring a plug and how to make and manage cables used in the industry. Gain a valuable education within the Production Arts industry while having fun, making life-long friends and using high quality industry standard equipment.

UCAS provides support for young people making post-18 choices, as well as mature learners, by providing information, advice, and guidance to inspire and facilitate educational progression to university, college, or a degree apprenticeship.

Your loan will be written off if you then sign up for a Higher Education course AND you have completed in full the Access to HE course.
