THe Details

Access courses are for adult learners, aged over 19 years to enable them to gain entry into university. The course is structured to enable learners to build up their academic skills, alongside studying subject specific modules, and is assessed through course work. The courses comprise of taught sessions with online support materials available through the college online portal Canvas. For entry onto all Diplomas a minimum of GCSE grade C/4 in English, level 2 equivalencies will be considered on a case by case basis. The Access to HE Law (with Business) is made up of 1 pathway: Pathway 1 On this option you will study the following subjects; Law Business Law Business Academic Skills This pathway attracts students who wish to study Law, International Law, Journalism, Accounting, Business Management, Marketing, Criminology, European Law, Human Resources, Business Structures. Assessment methods Students are assessed by a variety of methods, these typically include essays, reports, presentations and time controlled assignments. Dates and Times Students can expect to be in class 12 hours a week, normally spread over 2-3 days.

UCAS provides support for young people making post-18 choices, as well as mature learners, by providing information, advice, and guidance to inspire and facilitate educational progression to university, college, or a degree apprenticeship.

We support 1.5 million students every year to explore entering higher education, employment and apprenticeships and manage almost three million applications, from around 700,000 people each year, for full-time undergraduate courses at over 380 universities and colleges across the UK.

It is important to note that when you enrol on an Access to HE courseyou can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with the costs of a course at a college or training provider in England.

Loan eligibility does not depend on your income and there are no credit checks.

Check if you’re eligible before you apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

Your loan will be written off if you then sign up for a Higher Education course AND you have completed in full the Access to HE course.
