Support for Students with Disabilities

The College’s response to Equality of Opportunity is acknowledged by Ofsted as being outstanding. Students who have a physical disability, learning disability, medical condition or are recovering from a mental health condition can benefit from our advice, assessment and continuous support.

The College’s specialist team of support workers is available to provide dedicated support. This includes foundation courses, one-to-one in class support (where appropriate), provision of adopted materials and facilities of a first class resource centre within the Maxwell Bird Building. Specialised equipment for students with a visual or hearing impairment is available to ensure you get the best from your course, after an assessment of need has been conducted. Our experienced communicators are qualified in British Sign Language (BSL).
